Touch Therapy for PTSD

BRING AN AWARENESS OF THE BENEFITS OF MASSAGE THERAPY FOR POST- TRAUMATIC STRESS DISORDER . (PTSD)

Our Mission is to hold events to introduce the holistic approach of massage therapy as an added modality, along with their medical approach.

WHEN MOST RESPONSE TEAMS ARE LEAVING WE ARE ARRIVING.

When disaster strikes and we hear the words "The National Guard has been called up or the President is sending in the troops", we know everything is going to be okay.

Now we want to let the Wounded Warriors know everything is going to be okay. We have tested it, MASSAGE THERAPY helps with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

WHAT IS POST TRAUMATIC STRESS DISORDER?

Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is an anxiety disorder that can develop after experiencing or witnessing a traumatic event, or learning that a traumatic event has happened to a loved one. DSM5 defines a traumatic event as exposure to actual or threatened death, serious injury, or sexual violence. Examples include:

Returning home after tours of duty in the military..

Being involved in or witnessing, a car accident or hearing of a plane crash or terrorist attacks.

Undergoing major surgery (bone marrow transplant, extensive hospitalization, or severe burns).

Experiencing or witnessing natural disasters (earthquakes, hurricanes, floods, or fire).

Violent crimes (kidnapping, physical assault, or assault or murder of a parent or loved one).

Community violence (attacks at school, or suicide of a friend, family member, or a child in the same-age group). Chronic physical or sexual abuse.

Women and Families

Any physical disaster can cause severe stress after the situation has been resolved or lessened.

Domestic violence shelters are in need of pamper parties for the women and children. They need ongoing access to this support system.

Massage often clears the mind to think about, accept and move forward mentally WITH the support team.

We would like to respond with therapist when called and arrange massage sessions.

Touch has power

What about our Veterans and PTSD?

Teachers & School Aftermaths

Sometimes months after a school shooting or traumatic event PTSD will present.

When most response teams are gone. This is where we hope to make a difference. We partner with businesses to hold these events, so participants can easily get to the venue if in their neighborhoods.

When any type of disaster happens at a school, the teachers will suffer some form of PTSD, the degree of stress will vary but over time it can get worse. The students respond well to touch, tapping and massage. Let’s not forget their Post trauma. Often they will act out.

Provide Stress Management seminars for groups and we bring therapists with us in the form of a pamper party. This will include staff such as Food prep workers, janitors, aids.
